Welcome
Family Biblical Counseling and Training Center (FBCTC) has a strong conviction that the Word of God is the only reliable resource for bringing about real change in people’s lives. We have seen an enormous need in our churches for Biblical Counseling. At FBCTC our heart’s desire is to help equip the local pastor and church leaders to come along side and help those under their care, so that the local church may be strengthened. We want to see active church members learn how to help and provide hope to hurting people around them. |

For those who will need more attentive care than what lay church members can provide, FBCTC offers nouthetic counseling by pastoral referral. We also provide access to biblical counseling for churches who cannot afford to hire a staff counselor. What is Nouthetic Counseling? Nouthetic is a Greek word and is used in the New Testament and is translated admonish, correct or instruct. Biblical counseling occurs in such passages as Romans 15:14. “I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to instruct one another”. Nouthetic counseling is Christ centered and uses God’s Word as the standard for living. The biblical counselor does not use Psychology or his personal view to counsel. Nouthetic counseling lovingly confronts, admonishes and teach from God’s Word and helps the counselee to look more like Jesus (Romans 8:29). Nouthetic counseling involves:
Biblical counseling is effective and loving. It is based on God’s Word (John 17:17) and not based man’s point of view, but on teaching God’s truth (Matt 28:20).
Biblical counseling sends people to Jesus and not to ideas or theories of man (Col 2:8). Biblical counseling sends people to our great high priest. Since we have a great high priest, Jesus the Son of God, who has gone into heaven, let us hold on to the faith we have. For our high priest is able to understand our weaknesses. When he lived on earth, he was tempted in every way that we are, but he did not sin. Let us, then, feel very sure that we can come before God’s throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it (Hebrews 4:14-16). More Information? For more information or to schedule an appointment,
